Sawtooth: Slow Stitching

Sawtooth: Slow Stitching

This class will cover the basics of slow stitching and mindful embroidery, guiding you through the basics of making a piece of textile art while learning how stitching and textile work can be a mindfulness practice. Slow stitching is a soothing practice to incorporate into self care and is accessible to anyone with a needle and thread!

Emily Ortiz Badalamente is passionate about the positive effect that artmaking has on wellbeing for all individuals and is excited to connect Sawtooth’s Art + Wellness programming to the Winston-Salem community.

A supply list will be provided with all necessary materials, but you are encouraged to use any of your own textiles to personalize or add meaning to your artwork. Supply kits will also be available for purchase at the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts Shop, located at 251 N. Spruce St. Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
