IBTS convenes practitioners and scholars in theatre, film, television and related media to strategize sustainable, empowering pathways for Black storytelling across platforms. This session will introduce participants to The African Diasporic Network: Black Theatre Circuit ---an initiative led by The CRAFT Institute and the African-American Shakespeare Company, funded by the Black Seed---that aspires to collaboratively create a vital ecosystem for Black theatre by implementing viable economic, creative, and educational models through a multi-city, national tour with an international stop commencing in Summer 2022. IBTS Think Tank participants will engage in interactive conversations and brainstorming on effective strategies for organizational and individual participation on the touring circuit. Attendees will learn more about ADN's efforts to reimagine a 21st Century Black Theatre and Performance circuit across platforms and how to get involved through various programming including but not limited to touring, apprenticeships, convening, etc.
